Vices and Virtues was written by Panic! at the Disco in 2011. The current members of the band then were Brendon Urie and Spencer Smith. The first single "The Ballad of Mona Lisa" was released on February 1, 2011, which received many popular reviews. Some of the songs on this album had a similarity to their first album "
A Fever You Can't Sweat Out". This album was an amazing work of art, and stayed to true to the band's original sound, but still ventured out like all of
Panic! at the Disco's albums.
